It’s been a great Thanksgiving. I’m in a hotel room in Charleston, SC with my sister. We’re sort of about to go to sleep, in that we’re in bed and the lights are out, but I have my phone, and she has my iPad, so I don’t thing we’ll really get to sleep anytime soon. We’re staying at the Francis Marion, a hotel my parents fell in love with the last time they were here. I have to say, I get the appeal. It’s a beautiful building, and although its kept the lovely old architecture, it’s modern enough to have a Starbucks tucked away in a corner of the lobby. My parents seem pretty excited about us finally visiting Charleston as a family. I’m pretty excited too. It was dark when we got here, so we just had time to go out to dinner at their favorite restaurant, ‘Virginia’s’, but still, I think I’m going to like this town.
