I Made Something Weird and Am Getting Paid to Make Two More!

I finished the polar bear I was making yesterday, and last night, made a cub while watching a Christmas special with my sister.

For some reason, she liked them and is paying me five bucks each to make polar bear ornaments for her friends. Seeing as they’re made out of Play-Doh, and ‘sculpted’ with a broken knitting needle, this seems more than reasonable. I’m almost finished with them:

Yes, that’s a hair dryer in the background. I use it as a kiln. It’s surprisingly effective. I coated them in metallic paint to keep the Play-Doh from cracking, and all I have left to do now is paint them. I’m out off the white matt paint I used for the other to, and since I can’t drive and a trip to the craft supply store is harder to come by that I’d like, I evaporated a watercolor tablet from an old chinese brush painting kit in a little jar of water, forming a weird clumpy paint. We’ll see how it works out.
